This 6 days Rwanda Uganda gorilla safari will take you to Nyungwe forest national park located in the southwestern Rwanda bordering Burundi on the Albertine rift in southeast of lake kivu. Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrive in Rwanda and Transfer to Nyungwe national park.
Arrive in Rwanda following the flight from your respective country of origin. You land at Kigali international Airport, which is the main gateway to Rwanda, you will be picked from the airport by our tour guide for a transfer to Nyungwe national park and will offer you a courteous welcome. Branch off at Nyanza to visit the king palace and later continue to the park. Then drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk in Nyungwe.
After your early morning breakfast, the driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking. After you will head to the jungle with the ranger guide to start the chimpanzee tracking which takes 2 to 3hours or even longer depending on where the chimpanzee families are located, not only you will see chimpanzees you will also view other wildlife like baboons, monkeys and others. Once the chimpanzees are found your given one hour with them studying their lifestyles, behaviors, taking photos. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and refreshment. In the afternoon you will head to the forest for a canopy walk while viewing primates and later return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Boat cruise and transfer to Volcanoes national park.
After your early morning breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to drive you to lake kivu for a boat cruise. Have lunch and continue the journey to Volcnoes National Park. Later check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Golden monkey tracking in volcanoes national park.
After an early morning breakfast depart to the starting point for a briefing about your golden monkey trekking adventure after which you will be led by experienced golden monkey trekkers. You will start from the site where the monkeys were encountered the day before and from here the trekking begins. You are given one hour to be in their environment observe their behaviors, watch them jump from one tree to another, take photos and record the moments. Drive back to the lodge and have lunch. After you will cross over the border from Rwanda to Uganda and then drive to Mgahinga national park. later check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full day gorilla trekking in mgahinga gorilla national park.
After your early morning breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will enter the forest and search for the mountain gorillas which takes 30mins to 7hours depending on their location. Once you have found the mountain gorillas, your given one hour with them studying their behaviors, lifestyles, take photos. have bush lunch and return back the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Return to Kigali city for a tour and departure.
After your early morning breakfast, you will cross over the border from Uganda to Rwanda and head for a city tour visiting the most historical places like the Kigali genocide, the Belgian peacekeeper’s memorial, old Kigali town, kimironko market and others. Have lunch then the driver guide will drop you to the Airport or hotel in Kigali.
