Tell me about Kidepo National Park.

Chances are you don’t know enough about Kidepo National Park, do you? Located in the
North East of Uganda, over 500km from the capital Kampala is a national park that was once voted the best by CNN.

Getting there of course is no easy feat but good enough you will be consoled by the majesty that is Kidepo.

The park located in Kaabong District hosts a birdwatching variety and an antelope population unique in this area, generally, Kidepo is dry than other Ugandan parks, temperatures in this northern part of Uganda are usually so , so preparations that include gearing up for the heat are in order. 1. Ik people
One of the smallest tribes on earth lives there, the Ik people around Mount Murongole have been well documented , so a visit to Kidepo is also a cultural exploration of one of the strangest of tribes you may ever meet.

“The birdlife in Kidepo is good year-round, but at its best from March to April for all the specials and the many migrants. November to February has the least rain, while June to August has more. Rain shouldn’t be too much of a problem in this semi-arid part of the country. Migratory birds are in the valley from November to April. For wildlife viewing, the middle and end of the Dry season (November to February) is best.


4. Rare Cheetah
